These are gonna be on tire size 225/65R17. Make sure you check the fit guide on our website to get the best fit for your tires. Also, as per the owner's manual, we have them on the front axle, also double check your owner's manual to make sure you're getting the chains on the right tire for you, but let's check out how they work. Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Titan Chain snow tire chain here on a 2020 Ford Escape. This tire chain is gonna be one of the lighter duty options that we carry here, and that's because it is the roller style, so it's gonna be best suited for lighter snowfall, not necessarily any heavy snowfall, or roads that are mostly compacted ice. Now, if you are driving around on roads that are mostly compacted ice, I highly recommend checking out a square link chain such as the Konig XB16. We put those on here earlier and they fit really well. Now going back into the Titan Chains chains, everything's gonna be made with a manganese nickel alloy, so it's gonna hold up very well against rust and corrosion. more

Welcome to etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Konig XG12 Pro Snow Tire Chains here on the 2020 Ford Escape. These snow tire chains are going to be a great option for the Ford Escape here just because we do have a very tight wheel well and we can make our connections entirely from outside of the tire. And the self tensioning system here on the front, really seals the deal for me, just knowing that as your tire wears down over time, your fitment changes, the snow tire chain's going to be able to adapt to that and keep up with it. Now the chains themselves are going to be a diamond-patterned square link and they're gonna have these little square studs in the center in the pattern, as it goes around, which is going to give you a nice balance between your start and stop as well as your turning, so you're not having to sacrifice one for the other. And the chains themselves are going to be made of a manganese-nickel alloy, which is gonna hold up very well to rust and corrosion. more

These snow tire chains are gonna be an excellent fit for the Ford Escape, they're gonna get you, in my opinion, the best of both worlds between the diamond pattern and the square link, you're gonna get enough traction without losing too much of your turning and without sacrificing your start and stop by getting away from the ladder pattern tire chains. They're gonna come in a pair of two with a plastic hard case, which is really nice. A lot of snow tire chains come with like a real chintzy bag, it tends to rip and tear through the off season when you're just keeping it in storage, so I like that it comes with this, that way, when it's time to put the tire chains back for the year, you can put them in this, set them underneath the backseat or in the garage somewhere, and not have to worry about them tearing through. The chains themselves are gonna be made up of manganese nickel alloy, so they will stand up to rust and corrosion. more

Now when choosing tire chains for your vehicle, one thing you have to consider is how often am I gonna use these chains. And these chains in particular are gonna be good for the occasional use. Think of situations where snow and ice don't happen that often so it's just something that you're not necessarily too concerned about but you're glad you have them in your vehicle.And the way these work is they have these cross cables that have these rollers around them and that, coupled with the ladder pattern design, that's gonna help with effective starts and stops and give you good and decent traction in light snow and ice situations. Now, when installing your tire chains for the first time, we recommend you do it in a controlled environment as it can be a little cumbersome the first couple of times. Today, on our 2010 Ford Escape, we're going to review an install, the Glacier Cable snow tire chains, part number PW2029C. We'll be installing our tire chains on tire size P23570R16. Now, to begin our install, we've gone ahead and laid our tire chain out here on the floor. Here, on one end of our tire chains, the inner and outer cable will have adjustable notches. This will help to compensate for different tire sizes and tread depths. Our cross chain will be our traction and it has hardened steel rollers going across the cable. This will provide excellent traction in the snowy and icy conditions. At the end of each cross link will be a hook where it connects to the inner and outer cables. more

Today on our 2005 Ford Escape, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Chains, part number PW2029C. This kit will come in a set for both the driver and passenger side, and will work for either two or four wheel drive vehicles. Starting on the ground, we've gone ahead and laid out our tire chain. We have the cross sections that will connect the outer cables. Where the cross section meets the outer cable, we'll make sure that the hook of the cross section will face away from the tire. Its smooth surface will go against the sidewall of the tire, so it doesn't dig in and damage the tire. As we've got it laid out here, we'll also go ahead and note that this is a directional chain. It does matter in which direction it's going to move primarily, which will be forward. Now we'll go ahead and put our chain in place. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Escape well be test fitting the Thule Self-Tensioning Low Profile Snow Tire Chains for passenger vehicles, part number th00023104 on tire size 235/55-17. Now this vehicle is all-wheel drive, but we will be installing the tire chains on the rear tires. Before we begin our test fit, well lay the chains flat on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. Well then start with the yellow end of the cable, and slide it on the back side of the tire. Well then bring the two ends of the tire chain up to the top of the tire and then connect them at the inside. Well then drape the tire chains over the tire getting them as centered as possible. more

Today were going to be test fitting the Glacier snow tire chains, part number PW2029C. Well be mounting them on 235 7016 tires on a 2008 Ford Escape. Our Escape is front wheel drive so well be mounting them on the front tires only. Be sure to check your owners manual for more information on the use of tire chains with your vehicle. To mount the chains first well turn our wheel all the way out. Well lay out our chains on the ground to make sure there are no kinks in them and to position the chain in the proper orientation. more
